Pirate Day

We finished of last term with a mighty arrrghhh! We transformed into pirates for the day. We had so much fun and made a million memories.

In the morning we rotated around different activities outside. We had a science activity investigating things that float and sink on a pirate ship, we played a pirate games, we climbed and moved like pirates, we had a treasure hunt were we found yummy treasure and we did a pirate drive.

Inside we had fun in our classes making treasure chests, colouring pirates, decorating pirate biscuits, making treasure maps, singing pirate songs and pretending to be pirates.

One of the highlights of the day was Pirate Pat coming into Year One. He snuck in and told us all about his adventures and how to be a pirate. He was a bit scary at first but then we decided maybe Pirate Pat was a good pirate because he had learnt from his mistakes. We did tell security and the management of the school that Pirate Pat was on the loose though...just in case...we don't want a pirate on the loose in our school.

During the day our teachers had lots of pirate battles and we tied up some unsuspecting visitors to pirate day.

We had so much fun and it was a great way to finish up an amazing pirate filled term.
