Money, money and more money!

Year 1 have been looking at UAE currency. We have been learning to recognise and order the UAE currency from the smallest to the biggest and the biggest to the smallest value, We have had fun playing shopping games and use the currency to make different values to pay for a variety of items. We enjoyed being challenged to find and show how we could pay for an item in 4 different ways! Enjoy looking at our photos.

Learning through play

We love the shared area! The children in Year One love working and playing together and learning new things. This week in the shared area the children have been making seasons pictures in the Art area and designing and building gardens in the construction area. Sunny Sunflowers

Sometimes it is fun to look at art work by famous artists. Earlier this term we looked at a famous artist Vincent Van Gough and his famous picture of sunflowers. Then we made our own pictures of sunflowers. They are now on display in our classrooms.

We are Clever Computer Collectors!

We are learning how to be collectors!

First, we have to log on. This can be a little bit tricky!

 

   

Then, we have to open the internet using Google and type in Flickr.

 

After, we type the name of a plant into the search bar.

Next week we will be learning how to copy and paste pictures from Google into a PowerPoint!

This will be our 'Plant Collectors' PowerPoint.

 

Maths Morning Fun!
